Sylvia and Charbel chose Ravello, and chose to keep it small.
An elopement on the Amalfi Coast: no big numbers, just the people closest to them and the coastline all around.
The morning at Belmond Hotel Caruso was made of letters. A card that read “To you”, a handwritten page read in silence, a smile arriving before the words. The dress by the window, red lipstick, a pair of white sneakers on the balcony.
Then Ravello Cathedral. Sylvia arrived with her mother. A Maronite rite, the kiss, communion.
Afterwards, Ravello itself: the square beneath the pines, the gardens of Villa Rufolo, the coast falling away to the sea.
In the evening, dinner under the pergola, a chandelier glowing against the blue.
And the night in Positano, dancing at Music on the Rocks, in a shorter dress.
A quiet celebration, made of light, silence and shared moments.
Nothing else was needed.
