As a fashion photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with various make-up artists, both Italian and international.
Over the years, I’ve become convinced that professionals must work in synergy to achieve the best final result, and the role of the make-up artist is essential.
The Importance of Photographic Make Up
Good photographic make-up elevates the photoshoot and allows me to spend less time on post-production.
This applies to wedding photography as well: a well-done bridal make-up is an aspect not to be underestimated. Since we care deeply about the light and never apply filters to the images we deliver, choosing a professional make-up artist is always recommended.

STUDYING BRIDAL MAKE UP
Isabel—a make-up artist in Naples—loves talking with brides to understand their personal make-up habits, because bridal make-up doesn’t exist as a one-size-fits-all; it’s developed based on each woman’s facial features and, most importantly, her personality. Every woman is unique, every bride is unique, and so must be her bridal make-up.

“What I usually recommend to a bride who can’t yet imagine her bridal make-up is not to stray too far from the make-up she wears daily. Of course, this will be done by a professional and therefore will meet two key requirements:
Photogenic – it will look beautiful in photos
Long-lasting – it must withstand your emotions throughout the day
It’s important that you feel comfortable—my motto is ‘enhance without changing you.’
During the trial session, we will agree on the bridal make-up to ensure that everything is perfect on your wedding day, allowing you to feel free and fully enjoy your celebration.”
