Sometimes a detail is more than a detail. It tells a story, or brings someone back to mind.
Chiara and Mattia’s wedding was full of them.
Wildflowers, a flower pinned to a lapel, two little girls holding the train. A voice message on the phone, already in her wedding dress.
Then the church: vows read into a microphone, the rings, the smiles.
Afterwards, the sea, from a stone wall along the coast.
The party was at Capo Santa Fortunata, in Sorrento: 110 guests in the gardens, in a style both rustic and elegant. Olive trees, the pool, the bay in the distance. A white vintage car, toasts, a little red horn, the Neapolitan lucky charm, tied to the menu. The first dance, the cake beneath the stone arch, the sparks.
Every detail that day had something to say.
My job was not to miss a single one.
